NCSEA works to ensure a sustainable future by promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency in North Carolina through education, public policy and economic development.

Efficient Windows Collaborative (EWC)

The EWC is a coalition of window, door, skylight, and component manufacturers, research organizations, federal, state and local government agencies, and others interested in expanding the market for high-efficiency fenestration products. Its goals are to double the current market penetration of efficient window technologies, and to make NFRC labeling a near-universal practice in U.S. markets.

North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP)

NABCEP offers certifications and certificate programs to renewable energy professionals throughout North America. NABCEP began that work by creating a certification program for solar electric installers referred to as the NABCEP Solar PV Installer Certification. As of January 2012, 1952 individuals have passed NABCEP™s PV Installer Certification exam. There are 256 NABCEP-certified Solar Heating Installers. There are 12 NABCEP Certified Small Wind Installers and there are 197 NABCEP Certified PV Technical Sales Certificants.

Geothermal Energy Association

The Geothermal Energy Association is a trade association composed of U.S. companies who support the expanded use of geothermal energy and are developing geothermal resources worldwide for electrical power generation and direct-heat uses. Our members have offices or operations in many states and in numerous countries throughout the world. The purpose of the GEA is to improve worldwide business conditions for the geothermal community. To accomplish this, the GEA advocates for public policies that will promote the development and utilization of geothermal resources, provides a forum for the industry to discuss issues and problems, encourages research and development to improve geothermal technologies, presents industry views to governmental organizations, provides assistance for the export of geothermal goods and services, compiles statistical data about the geothermal industry, and conducts education and outreach projects.

Wind on the Wires

Wind on the Wires is a collaborative organization that seeks to ensure that bottlenecks in the upper Midwest's electrical transmission system are removed and that the rules of the road are implemented in a way that puts wind power on a level playing field with other electrical technologies. EDTA is an international association representing the interest of those involved in the development, production and use of battery, hybrid and fuel cell electric drive technologies and supporting infrastructure. EDTA serves as the central source of information on all of the technical, market and policy issues surrounding the emergency of electric drive technologies, and serves as the representative of the Americas to the World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA).

British Photovoltaic Association

The mission of PV-UK is to advance the development and use of photovoltaic (PV) technology. Since 1992, it has actively promoted the use of PV within the UK as well as for export. PV-UK has Working Groups on Market Strategy, Grid Connected Issues, and training. The Association has 53 members, who represent the wide cross-section of expertise in the UK. Members are drawn from industry, universities and consultancy practices, and many are world leaders in their field(s). Expertise includes product manufacture, systems design and installation, R&D, consultancy and project management.

Landfill Gas Association

The Landfill Gas Association is one of the UK's seven renewable energy trade associations. It represents the interests of those involved in the utilisation of landfill gas. Landfill gas contains methane, produced by the anaerobic decomposition of organic matter in landfill sites. Its major use is for electricity generation, although other direct uses include CHP applications, kiln firing and vehicle fuel. Its members comprise specialist development companies, waste management companies, consultants and a range of associated equipment and service providers. Amongst the range of services provided to members, the association runs a detailed and comprehensive training course on landfill gas management and utilisation. The course is run in conjunction with the Institution of Diesel and Gas Turbine Engineers.
