REOC supports and promotes Renewable Energy companies in Cornwall, UK, assisting them to compete in the global renewables market. REOC Partners currently cover Wind, Solar, Hydro, Water, Earth, Biomass, Waste and Environmental Consultancy, and encompass the private, public and academic sectors. Objectives include establishing the optimum way to develop the county's own RE resources, and encouraging new Partners into the region to benefit from the established cluster of RE technologies.
Mission of TAREA is to develop and promote rational use of solar energy through its members by coordinating provision of relevant information, knowledge, skills and resources geared towards community socio-economic development and environmental sound practices. The Renewable Energy Policy Project was launched in August 1995 with the support and advice of the renewable energy community. Since its inception, REPP has investigated the relationship between policy, markets and public demand in accelerating the deployment of renewable energy technologies, which include biomass, hydropower, geothermal, photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind and renewable hydrogen. In 1999, REPP and the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST) merged. The combined organization (named REPP-CREST) boasts a strong platform for dissemination of data regarding sustainability. REPP-CREST's web site Solstice, the award-winning portal on sustainable energy, provides access to a broad range of topics: innovative public policy reports generated by REPP, interactive media, renewable energy success stories and informative on-line discussion groups.
