"Drainergy" is a Heat Exchanger for vertical/horizontal drainpipes. The hybrid design uses plastic for structure sealed to copper for heat transfer. Heat transfers through the copper to cold water flowing in a sealed chamber adjacent the copper. Preheating cold water makes more hot water available while reducing energy demand, peak energy demand, heating cost, and pollution. One or more Drainergy can be used in homes or buildings. Approved materials, no moving parts, no maintenance. Double walled and vented for safety. Recent Patent Office action indicates patent issue.
