The California Solar Energy Industries Association (CALSEIA), founded in 1977, is a nonprofit solar industry trade association. Its members are solar industry professionals doing business in California, including manufacturers, distributors, licensed contractors, solar leasing and power purchase agreement providers, energy utilities, consultants, and educators. They represent the full range of solar products and services, including solar heating and cooling and electricity-generating technologies. CALSEIA's members all pledge to abide by the association's Code of Ethics.

The mission of the Center is to provide a new focal point at Columbia University for the study of economic, environmental, political, technological and other factors that affect the global production, transportation and consumption of energy. The Center will be a locus for four major programmatic and academic initiatives: A functional concentration in International Energy Management and Policy within the School of International and Public Affairs masters degree programs, providing students with an opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of energy and marine transportation fundamentals and related public policy issues. Training programs for executives and professionals seeking a broader understanding of these fundamentals and issues. An outreach effort consisting of conferences, media briefings and other activities to provide the Columbia University community, industry leaders, policymakers, the media and the public at large with an opportuni!ty to benefit from the Center's expertise. The Center for Environmental Quality at Wilkes University operates and maintains a series of state-of-the-art water and environmental materials testing facility. The facility, a non-profit/ equal opportunity employer, is operated and managed, within the GeoEnvironmental Sciences and Engineering Department under the auspices of the Center for Environmental Quality. Currently, the laboratory is PADEP/EPA approved for drinking water analysis for regulated water supplies for microbiological agents, but has the capability to conduct analysis for macronutrients, general water quality parameters, microbiological contaminants (Giardia, coliform, nuisance bacteria) and toxic metals. The Renewable Energy Policy Project was launched in August 1995 with the support and advice of the renewable energy community. Since its inception, REPP has investigated the relationship between policy, markets and public demand in accelerating the deployment of renewable energy technologies, which include biomass, hydropower, geothermal, photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind and renewable hydrogen. In 1999, REPP and the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST) merged. The combined organization (named REPP-CREST) boasts a strong platform for dissemination of data regarding sustainability. REPP-CREST's web site Solstice, the award-winning portal on sustainable energy, provides access to a broad range of topics: innovative public policy reports generated by REPP, interactive media, renewable energy success stories and informative on-line discussion groups.
