California Hydrogen Business Council

The CHBC was organized in 1997 to provide a formal link between various organizations committed to business development related to hydrogen. Membership meetings approximately at quarterly intervals are held regionally within California. These meetings include technical presentations, updates on regional hydrogen affairs, as well as member company activities in the hydrogen field.

Geothermal Resources Council

The GRC is a tax-exempt, non-profit, educational association (501(c)(3). Formed in 1970, the Council was incorporated in the state of Washington in 1972, and in California in 1981. With members in more than 20 countries, the Council actively seeks to expand its role as the primary geothermal educational association throughout the world. The goals of the Council are to: Encourage the development of geothermal resources worldwide through the collection and timely distribution of data and technological information. Encourage and promote research, exploration and development of geothermal energy in ways compatible with the environment. Serve as a public forum for the world geothermal community, and provide transfer of objective and unbiased information on the nature of geothermal energy and its development. Cooperate and communicate with academic institutions, industry and government agencies on economically and environmentally sound development and utilization of geothermal resources.

Solar Living Institute

Since our founding in 1998, over 9, 250 students have taken our hands-on and online solar PV training courses. Over 3, 000 students have attended our courses on ecological design, sustainable living practices and alternative construction techniques like straw-bale, cob, and bamboo. Students come from all over the United States and from abroad to attend classes taught by professionals in the field. Since 1995, over half a million people have visited our 12-acre demonstration Solar Living Center located in Hopland, California.
