The National Biodiesel Board, formerly known as the National SoyDiesel Development Board, is a not-for-profit corporation created and based in Jefferson City, Missouri, dedicated to the commercialization and industrialization of biodiesel. Biodiesel is the name for a variety of ester-based oxygenated fuels from renewable biological sources. It can be used in compression- ignition (diesel) engines without any modifications. Pure biodiesel is biodegradable, nontoxic and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics.
Heartland Renewable Energy Society is a member chapter of the American Solar Energy Society with membership in Missouri and Kansas.
