The European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) is the worldís largest industry association devoted to the solar electricity market. The association aims to promote photovoltaics at the national, European and worldwide levels and to assist its members in the development of their businesses in both the European Union and in export markets.
Cogeneration is nowhere reaching its full potential in Europe. At present itis used to produce only about 10% of the EU's electricity - but at least 30%is achievable. COGEN EUROPE was created in 1993, with support from DG XVII (now DG Energy and Transport) of the European Commission, to reflect the clear need for great cooperative efforts at a European Level to unlock the full potentialfor Cogeneration.
With more than 500 members, AVERE represents an important force for the promotion of Electric Vehicles.
EWEA is the voice of the wind industry - actively promoting the utilisation of wind power in Europe and worldwide. EWEA members include manufacturers covering 98% of the world wind power market, component suppliers, research institutes, national wind and renewables associations, developers, electricity providers, finance and insurance companies and consultants. The combined strength of more than 250 members from over 40 countries makes EWEA the world s largest renewable energy association. The Union of the Electricity Industry - EURELECTRIC, formed as a result of a merger in December 1999 of the twin Electricity Industry Associations, UNIPEDE and EURELECTRIC, is the sector association representing the common interests of the European Electricity Industry and its worldwide affiliates and associates. Its mission is to contribute to the development and competitiveness of the Electricity Industry and to promote the role of electricity in the advancement of society.
EUFORES is a non-profit organisation based in Brussels, engaged in EU institutional and political promotion of renewable energy-related issues throughout the European Union, as well as in widespread communication between sectorial actors and towards society.
