The AGORES website is the European information centre & knowledge gateway for RES. It promotes the European Union's strategy to achieve 12% of RES by 2010, involving key organisations and raising public awareness about renewable energy in general. It allows fast and efficient access to extensive information. AGORES is a huge database with hundreds of links to important actors, publications, projects etc... in the Renewable Energy field.

European Energy-from-Waste Coalition (EEWC)

The European Energy-from-Waste Coalition (EEWC) champions the process of recovering Energy-from-Waste (EFW) as one environmentally-sensible component in an Integrated Waste Management strategy.

COGEN Europe - The European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration

Cogeneration is nowhere reaching its full potential in Europe. At present it is used to produce only about 10% of the EU's electricity - but at least 30% is achievable. COGEN EUROPE was created in 1993, with support from DG XVII (now DG Energy and Transport) of the European Commission, to reflect the clear need for great cooperative efforts at a European Level to unlock the full potential for Cogeneration.

EREC - European Renewable Energy Council

EPIA (European Photovoltaic Industry Association), EWEA (European Wind Energy Association), ESHA (European Small Hydropower Association), EUBIA (European Biomass Industry Association), ESIF (European Solar Industry Federation) and EUREC Agency (European Association of Renewable Energy Research Centers) have teamed up to form EREC, the European Renewable Energy Council. EREC is committed to the following objectives: Objectives: To provide information and training on renewable energy sources. To provide information and consultancy on renewable energies for the political decision-makers on a local, regional, national and international level. To publish information material (brochures, didactic material, manuals, etc.) on renewable energy sources. To encourage studies on the economics, techniques and feasibility in the field of renewable energy sources for the member associations, external organisations, as well as public and private institutions. To co-operate with renewable energy organisations from all over the world. To promote European exports of equipment and products, and promote the industrial protection of European renewable energy technologies on global markets. To strengthen export initiatives and promote trade, while generally assisting the associations, the federation members of EREC and the renewable energy world. To enlarge industrial export services with commercial publications, commercial indicators and seminars, etc. Further information can be obtained from the Renewable Energy House in Brussels, the central meeting point for organisations working in the field of renewable energy sources.

European Wind Energy Association (EWEA)

EWEA is the voice of the wind industry - actively promoting the utilisation of wind power in Europe and worldwide. EWEA members include manufacturers covering 98% of the world wind power market, component suppliers, research institutes, national wind and renewables associations, developers, electricity providers, finance and insurance companies and consultants. The combined strength of more than 250 members from over 40 countries makes EWEA the world s largest renewable energy association. EWEA is the first stop for external enquiries about wind power from around the world.

EURELECTRIC - Union of the Electricity Industry

The Union of the Electricity Industry - EURELECTRIC, formed as a result of a merger in December 1999 of the twin Electricity Industry Associations, UNIPEDE and EURELECTRIC, is the sector association representing the common interests of the European Electricity Industry and its worldwide affiliates and associates. Its mission is to contribute to the development and competitiveness of the Electricity Industry and to promote the role of electricity in the advancement of society.

European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources (EUFORES)

EUFORES is a non-profit organisation based in Brussels, engaged in EU institutional and political promotion of renewable energy-related issues throughout the European Union, as well as in widespread communication between sectorial actors and towards society.

Photovoltech

Photovoltech is a solar cell manufacturer set up in December 2001 as a spin-off of IMEC, a world leading independent microelectronics research center with a proven reputation in photovoltaic research. The shareholders are Total (50%) and GDF SUEZ (through Electrabel (47, 5%) and Soltech (2, 5%)). The multicrystalline photovoltaic cells are produced using state-of-the-art technology developed by IMEC. Photovoltech reported revenue of almost 80 million Euros in 2009.
