International Network on Small Hydro Power - China Industrial Association of Power Sources -
International Network on Small Hydro Power was co-founded by UNDP, UNIDO, China's government and some other international/regional institutes in 1994, with the aim of imoroving the development of SHP worldwide through so-called Triangular Cooperation among developed countries, developing countries and international organizations. The secretariat of IN-SHP is at Hangzhou, China. Traning, consultation, information/expertise exchange and technology transfer are the main activities of IN-SHP.
China Industrial Association of Power Sources (CIAPS) founded in 1989, is the biggest professional battery association in China. It has six branches, including alkaline battery and new type chemical power sources branch, lead acid storage battery branch, lithium battery branch, dry cell branch, solar cell branch, accessory and equipment for battery branch. Now CIAPS has more than 360 members involved in the development, manufacture, sales, or marketing of batteries, power supplies etc. CIAPS will hold the eighth China International Battery Fair in Tianjin in June 25-27,2008.
