COGEN Europe - The European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration

Cogeneration is nowhere reaching its full potential in Europe. At present it is used to produce only about 10% of the EU's electricity - but at least 30% is achievable. COGEN EUROPE was created in 1993, with support from DG XVII (now DG Energy and Transport) of the European Commission, to reflect the clear need for great cooperative efforts at a European Level to unlock the full potential for Cogeneration.

California Hydrogen Business Council

The CHBC was organized in 1997 to provide a formal link between various organizations committed to business development related to hydrogen. Membership meetings approximately at quarterly intervals are held regionally within California. These meetings include technical presentations, updates on regional hydrogen affairs, as well as member company activities in the hydrogen field.

The Renewable Energy Policy Project was launched in August 1995 with the support and advice of the renewable energy community. Since its inception, REPP has investigated the relationship between policy, markets and public demand in accelerating the deployment of renewable energy technologies, which include biomass, hydropower, geothermal, photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind and renewable hydrogen. In 1999, REPP and the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST) merged. The combined organization (named REPP-CREST) boasts a strong platform for dissemination of data regarding sustainability. REPP-CREST's web site Solstice, the award-winning portal on sustainable energy, provides access to a broad range of topics: innovative public policy reports generated by REPP, interactive media, renewable energy success stories and informative on-line discussion groups.
