The Pharaoh's Pump Foundation is an Oregon based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which is dedicated to the development of energy efficient, nonpolluting technologies. Our current focus is on the development and implementation of very efficient water pumping technologies that would be useful in agricultural and business applications in both industrialized countries and third world countries around the globe. Not only is this emerging technology efficient it is also cost effective. This water pumping technology is being developed in a manner that would allow local communities to manufacture this efficient water pump in their own communities by their own cottage industries with local materials.
Launched in July 1998, PVMTI is intended to promote PV-based energy services in India, Kenya and Morocco. The Global Environment Facility (GEF) has provided US$30 million in concessional funds for IFC to support investments in private sector projects to encourage market development for photovoltaics, which support climate change mitigation. By converting sunlight into clean and highly reliable power, PV can help to meet the energy requirements of local customers and businesses while at the same time making a contribution towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which are thought to be responsible for anthropogenic climate change. - Business type: nonprofit organization

PowerMark Corporation (PMC) was formed to provide PV manufacturers with a certification program that, through the process of product labeling, attests to the module's quality. Product certification involves the formal process of licensing the manufacturer to use a Certificate of Conformity. This program involves the use of formal quality system criteria for the manufacturer, PMC itself, the test laboratories authorized to perform testing in support of the program, and the laboratory accreditation body selected by PMC. PMC's module, system and component certification program is based on both U.S. and International consensus-developed standards. - Business type: nonprofit organization
